RARE UNISSUED BEAUFORT MK15W LIFEPRESERVER WAISTCOAT DIRECT FROM MOD
Complete with SARBE 5, Heliograph Mirror, Miniflare pack, Red Night Flare & Orange Day Smoke.
Model: MK15W Aircrew Lifepreserver Waistcoat by Beaufort Air-Sea Equipment Limited - Defence and Aerospace Division. Quality management system approved to BS EN ISO 9001 1994. The MK15W was designed in conjunction with the UK Ministry of Defence; the lifepreserver is designed for use by aircrew of helicopter and non-ejection seat aircraft.
The MK15W offers proven performance in extreme operating conditions with a reputation for comfort, performance and unrivalled longevity. This is a very rare item and likely to be a one-off.
Features: L ightweight waistcoat with integral pouch, a stole container, and an inflatable profiled stole.
Compact with snag-free contours, comfortable to wear, providing ample freedom of movement to the wearer.
Buoyancy in excess of 190 Newtons.
Nylon stole restrainer is coloured fluorescent flame orange for maximum conspicuity.
Fully adjustable webbing waistbelt/backstrap.
Storage pockets contain:
Tethered Sarbe 5 Beacon with Transmit (Mic.) and Receive (Loud Speaker with volume control). Emergency Frequency 121.5, Auxiliary Frequency 123.48. Battery date of manufacture November 2005, anticipated battery life November 2010 (Manufacturer recommends replacement within 5 years or after use). Complete with Sarbe Test function, which presently confirms OK.
Tethered Aerial Distress Flare Kit containing 8 flares. Each flare burns for 6 seconds at over 3,000 candela. Date of expiry October 2009.
Tethered Signal Distress Day and Night No1 Mk4. Containing 1x Red Night Flare, 1x Orange Day Smoke. Date of expiry December 2009.

Size: The MK15W is suitable for end users with an approximate chest size up to 46" (less if wearing multi-layers under a flying or immersion suit).
Condition: Unissued, stored standby use only. Direct from MOD stores. This item has been regularly maintained to ensure non-deterioration, as such minor handling marks are present. This item is being offered for sale as a collector’s item only. The end user is responsible for determining the suitability of this item for any use they may have planned.
