I have about 15 hours training time on a Cessna 152,
if I wanted to switch to training for fixed wing microlight (C42 at my local airfield) can any of these hours be carried over toward a M/L licence?
I've tried to research it and ask the question, but I get varying answers
Thinking of switching as the rising cost of training is beginning to push PPL(A) too high
thanks!
probably all of them since the restriction works the other way - m/l to group A. If you had a PPL (a) and wanted to fly a c42 you could, with a simple type checkout.
Where are you?
David
EGBO,
the m/l school there says I can carry my training hours over. that's good as I am due my 1st solo flight soon.
i will book some lessons in a C42
the microlight school rechecked with people higher up and it turns out PPL training hours (not qualified hours) do NOT count towards a m/l licence.
I read lasors myslef and it say something like 'JAR hours will count, but you must still do the minimum training hours' which implies you must still do the 25 hours
