hi guys,
Im currently completeing my PPL and trying to find out the requiremnets that must be met in order to gain a CPL, from somewhere, i have in my head 150 hours required but im unsure as to where i heard this and how accurate this may be? Im also looking into attending Bristol Ground school for ATPL theory upon completion of the CPL but im unsure as to what the requirements are to gain an ATPL if i was to have a CPL,
Hope i havent been to confusing there, any other ideas as to how to gain an ATPL welcome, unfortunatly im one of the 99% of us who cant afford to pay a five-figure sum to go full time training!
Many thanks
Nathan
The requirements are set out in JAR-FCL but there is a summery in LASORS (can be downloaded from the CAA web-site).
The main difference between CPL and ATPL is the requirement to do a more extensive set of theory exams. You are then issued with a CPL after completing flight training and test. Getting the ATPL comes quite a while later after you have gained the IR and the necessary experience.
