Hi

I'm not planning my training there as I have practically completed mine here, but a word of warning in my humble opinion, training in the USA will not prepare you if you intend to fly using your license over here.  Their RT is different, airspace is different and above all their weather is nothing like ours so when you get back here you may find you waste more money by flying with an instructor for a little while first!

I take it your doing your theory first?  And please dont tell me your going to Orlando Flight Training!

Hi Morbz

sorry for the delay in replying, shift work! But, mostly nights leaving lots of weekdays free. I would prefer to gain my PPL closer to home but was worried about the time scale and costs.

With more searching on the internet I have possibly found an alternative, Clacton Aero Club.

Anyone have experience of Clacton?

The eternal question of US, or Europe...what is your objective ? once that is fixed, gather the info on both options, and decide.
